Into a Spell 03:49
Felt your sun in the air Held by what I believed was All our memories And the meanings we made Clear blue skies in the air Green surrounds the highway In the valley Where we both had fell Into a spell That reminds us to Keep one eye closed Waves of violet crashing Golden sand surrounds us Where we started And continue to breathe Thoughts suspended in time Feeling our vibrations In the Valley Where we both had fell Into a spell That reminds us to Keep one eye closed

All to Come 04:58
Stayed up wondering Just what will happen Days and months in time from now Presents' filled The futures open Never knowing just whats to come Find me hoping That you will show me All your plans for me Are these your plans? To have me wait? Cause I don't know Whats all to come Raised to think That I must know All the steps ahead of now Questions take out From lasting moments Causing haze to how we see Find me hoping That you will show me All your plans for me Are these your plans? To have me wait? Found out you've been on my mind Thinking of whats to come to us Found out that you Have thought very well About all thats planned to come Stuck in a loop Fixated on “ifs” Hoping that all will be okay
4.
5.
Stuck 02:44
How to write a song And then press it through Your words You had come to me As a thought last night And now I see the world So clear If you ever feel stuck Call my phone And we'll figure it out If you ever feel stuck Call my phone And we'll figure it out
6.
I guess that I'm not good At speaking all the words that I Want you to hear To be lost without a phrase Wishing I could see Just how these moments will end up So I would know What it is I have to do Just to keep it in Don't you ever go and stay in that place Don't you ever go and blame yourself Taking out the time To face all that we must know Before we leave And remain within our seem Don't you ever go and stay in that place Don't you ever go and blame yourself And now that I Am moving on By myself I don't know What to expect
7.
Embrace 01:06
Love I won't wake you We'll call it a day But if you get nervous dear Don't hesitate For I've been there I know the way Gets brighter Each day that we embrace
8.
Above all we are just pulses And they're all floating still I use love as a direction To get me by But put your meanings to some things And keep one eye closed Make life what you need it And you'll feel fine My muse is the hope of the valley Aligning my gemini Reminding to follow my instincts And you'll feel fine
9.
Haze Cloud 05:58
I saw you first Sitting on the floor Around a haze Within a cloud To see you smile It'd plant a seed And from green eyes It then would breathe I know you're right for me An unnamed love In rhyme unspoken Weaved through my thoughts In such softness In Wasatch sweet Your grace is found Among the hills And in the fields I know you're right for me I'm not going to break your heart in two

about

Conceived in Salt Lake City, and realized in Baltimore, June Pastel is the work of Toto Peña. A Venezuelan-American whose music stretches through the intersections of indie, pop, jazz, and chamber music, June Pastel sits at the rare transitory space only available through processes of growth and motion.

On the band’s album 'Collages,' Toto explores the kind of smooth and dreamy indie rock that brings to mind Wild Nothing, and Craft Spells, with a little bit of jazz weaved in for good measure. It’s the perfect primer for not just the band, but the album to come.

Set for release June 29th, 'Collages' finds Toto amassing an eclectic group of musicians with roots that stretch beyond the confines of genre. Each of these worlds builds the collaged moment-to-moment vocabulary within the June Pastel universe. For Peña, June Pastel is all about community: his songs are bases upon which his musical collaborators may find their own expression, around which relationships may form. June Pastel is a first—and important—step by Peña away from solo work, and into the communal ecology of creating with others.
